Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection

Typical Wire Inspection:

CAUTION: Carefully remove the ignition wires by pulling on the boots. Do not bent the wire or the terminal may be broken.

1. Check the general condition of the wires. Look for corrosion and broken or distorted wires.
2. Connect an ohmmeter to the wire and measure the resistance.

Ignition Wire Resistance:
25,000 ohms max. @ 70~F (20~C)
