Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Wait at least three minutes before continuing procedure.
4. Remove dashboard lower cover and left knee bolster.
5. Disconnect ignition switch electrical connectors from dash fuse box and main wire harness.
6. Remove two switch screws, then the switch.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
8. On models equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
