1. On models equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2. Remove instrument panel lower cover and knee bolster.

3. Disconnect cable reel 6-P connector from SRS main harness, then connect test harness C only to cable reel side of 6-P connector, Fig. 34.

4. Check for continuity between terminals of test harness C in each switch position, Fig. 35.
5. If continuity is as specified, switch is OK. If there is no continuity, continue test.
6. Carefully remove cruise control set/resume switch cover by prying between cover and switch.

7. Remove two screws and cruise control set/resume switch, then check for continuity between terminals in each switch position, Fig. 36.
8. If there is no continuity, replace switch. If there is continuity as specified, replace cable reel.
9. On models equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
