Windshield Washer Switch: Service and Repair

Wiper/Washer Switch Test:

CAUTION:
^ All SRS wire harnesses are covered with yellow insulation. Before you disconnect any part of an SRS wire harness, disconnect the airbag connectors.
^ Whenever the ignition switch is ON (II), or has been turned OFF for less than three minutes, be careful not to bump the SRS unit: the airbags could accidentally deploy and cause damage or injuries.
^ For additional precautions, refer to the Air Bags and Seat belts.

Wiper/Washer Switch Replacement:

1. Remove the steering column covers.
2. Turn the steering wheel 90° toward the switch.
3. Disconnect the 8P connector from the switch.

Wiper/Washer Switch Replacement:

4. Remove the two screws, then pull out the switch.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
