DIAGNOSIS
1. Close the doors, and lock the vehicle with either the key or the remote transmitter.

NOTE: If you activate the security system with the remote transmitter within 1/2 second of closing the door, the system will not arm. Wait at least 1 second after closing the door to activate the security system with the remote transmitter.

2. Observe the security system LED indicator on the driver's door panel.

- If the LED blinks, the system is functioning properly.

- If the LED does not blink, continue with step 3.

3. Open the trunk, and disconnect the trunk latch 6P connector.

4. Relock the vehicle with either the key or the remote transmitter, and check for a blinking LED.

- If the LED blinks, the trunk latch switch is faulty; replace the trunk latch assembly.

- If the LED does not blink, disregard this service bulletin and continue with normal troubleshooting procedures.
