Repair Procedure
1. Remove the headliner.2. Use a mirror to inspect the two Velcro-style glass fasteners at the top of the windshield and at the top of the rear window.
3. If the glass-attached fasteners are fully engaged to the body-attached fasteners, go to step 5 for a 2-Door or go to step 12 for a 4-Door If the fasteners are not fully engaged to each other, go to step 4.
4. If the fasteners are not fully engaged to each other, use a knife to trim a 2 to 3 mm clearance between the fasteners. After trimming the fasteners, go to step 5 for a 2-Door or step 12 for a 4-Door.
5. Locate the two flex tubes attached to the underside of the headliner.
6. Cut two 50-mm-wide pieces of wool felt, each piece the same length as a flex tube.
7. Apply the wool felt to both flex tubes. Be sure to wrap the wool felt entirely around the exposed surfaces of the flex tubes.
8. Cut a piece of 25-mm-wide wool felt to the same length as the front edge of the headliner.
9. Apply the wool felt along the front cardboard underside of the headliner edge. Make sure the wool felt wraps over the top edge of the cardboard as illustrated.

14. Cut four 10 x 100 mm pieces of wool felt.
15. Apply the wool felt under the four corners of the center lip inside the moonroof opening molding.
16. Reinstall the moonroof opening molding.

20. Release the four sunshade base sliders from the frame guide rail, and bend the spring clips upward. Do not overexpand the spring clips; this will cause them to create excessive resistance when opening and closing the sunshade.
21. Cut two 10 x 50 mm pieces of EPT.
22. Apply the EPT between the sunshade and the front steel frame where the base sliders hold them together.
23. Cut two 10 x 40 mm pieces of EPT.
24. Apply the EPT between the sunshade and the rear steel frame where the base sliders hold them together.
25. Reinstall the sunshade.
