SERVICE TIP:
When you're removing the oil filter, oil from the filter and the oil passage can dribble onto the flexible exhaust joint. Not only is this flexible joint a bear to clean (oil gets into the nooks and crannies of all that braiding), your customer will be smelling burnt oil for hundreds of miles.

The Honda Tool and Equipment Program has an oil deflector that prevents this. Just slip it over the flexible joint and any dribbling from the oil filter or oil passage runs down the deflector and not on the joint. To order, call the Honda Tool and Equipment Program. Ask for T/N VSB02C000020.
