Drive Belt: Testing and Inspection

Alternator-compressor Belt Inspection

1. Inspect the belt for cracks and damage. If the belt is cracked or damaged, replace it.

2. Check that the pointer (A) on auto tensioner housing is not beyond the edge of the indicator rib (B) on the tensioner base. If pointer is beyond the indicator rib, replace the alternator compressor belt.
