Power Seat Motor Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Operation Check of the Driver's Seat Position Sensor

The driver's seat position sensor must be checked after any of these actions.
- Driver's seat position sensor replacement
- Cover plate (front side of driver's seat slide rail) replacement

1. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF (0).
2. Make sure the driver's seat is at its full forward position.




3. Connect the Honda PGM Tester (A) or the HDS to the DLC (B).
4. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
5. Select DATA LIST MENU from the TEST MODE MENU of the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS, then select LED LIST.
6. Move the seat while watching the LED on the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS.
- When the seat is within 10 mm from the front of the seat rail, the LED should be OFF.
- When the seat is more than 25 mm away from the front of the seat rail, the LED should be ON.

If the LED does not work as described above, check the driver's seat position sensor or the cover plate for damage, and replace parts as needed

7. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and disconnect the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS from the DLC.
