Does a Towed Vehicle's Odometer Rack Up Miles?

SERVICE TIP:
If the vehicle has an electronic speedometer (one that isn't cable-driven), the answer is NO. The odometer doesn't rack up mileage as long as the ignition switch is in the LOCK (0) or the ACC (1) position.
