SERVICE TIP:
If an owner complains of a nasty rattle or buzz when accelerating with the A/C on, the culprit could be the A/C compressor discharge pipe. If the pipe bracket is bent and the pipe touches the lower frame rail, it can whip up a healthy resonance when the vehicle is accelerating. To eliminate this noise, loosen the pipe bracket, straighten it out, reposition the pipe so it clears the frame rail, and lock it down.
