SERVICE TIP:
Are owners complaining of a thumping from the rear of the passenger compartment when accelerating or braking? The fuel tank could be the reason.

These models have long, narrow fuel tanks. The thump comes from the sloshing of fuel back and forth in the tank. Just how loud the thump gets depends on how much fuel is in the tank. The thump is a normal characteristic of the vehicle.
