MCM Updating and Substitution for Testing

Honda interface module (HIM) EQS05A35570

Use this procedure when you have to substitute a known-good MCM in a troubleshooting procedure.

The MCM has the programs for the IMA motor control and the IMA battery condition monitor.

Update the MCM if either or both programs are not the latest.

NOTE: Do not turn the ignition switch OFF while updating the MCM. If you turn the ignition switch OFF before completion, the MCM can be damaged.
