Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Wheel Sensor Replacement1. Release the connector holding clamps (A), then disconnect the wheel sensor connector (B).
2. Remove the clips, the bolt, the O-ring (C), and the wheel sensor (D).
3. Install the wheel sensor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
^ Use a new O-ring on reassembly. Install the sensor carefully to avoid twisting the wires.
^ If the wheel sensor comes in contact with the hub bearing, it is faulty.
4. Start the engine, and check that the ABS indicator goes off.
5. Test-drive the vehicle, and check that the ABS indicator does not come on.
