Power Door Locks/Keyless Entry
How the Circuit Works (Canada: DX-G)Power Supply
With the ignition switch in the ON (II) or START (Ill position, battery voltage is applied through fuse 10 to the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU). Fuse 10 and the MICU are located in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Fuse 25 (in the under-dash fuse/relay box) is hot at all times and supplies power to the multiplex integrated control unit (MICU).
Door Locks (Key Operation)
Inserting the key into the driver's door key cylinder switch and turning the key once will command the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) to unlock the driver's door. Turning the key a second time will command the MICU to unlock the front passenger's door and the rear doors (4-door models).
Door Locks (Keyless Transmitter Operation)
The doors can be locked or unlocked from the hand-held keyless transmitter.
All lock and unlock commands from the keyless transmitter are received by the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit. The Immobilizer-Keyless Control unit communicates with the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) via B-CAN.
The doors can be locked or unlocked from the hand-held keyless transmitter. According to the request, the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) directly operates the power supply and grounding signals to the reversible electric door lock motors for lock and unlock modes.
Pressing the UNLOCK button one time will unlock the driver's door. Pressing the UNLOCK button a second time will unlock the front passenger's door and the rear doors (4-door models).
Pressing the LOCK button will lock the driver's door, front passenger's door and the rear doors (4-door models).
Panic Mode
Pressing and holding the PANIC button on the keyless transmitter for 2 seconds will activate the panic mode feature.
The panic mode command from the keyless transmitter is received by the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit. The Immobilizer-Keyless Control unit communicates with the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) via B-CAN.
According to the request, the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) directly operates the Horn and the flashes exterior lights for approximately 20 seconds.
The panic mode can be cancelled by any button on the keyless transmitter, or by turning the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
If the ignition switch is in the ON (II) position, the panic mode cannot be activated.
