Shift Solenoid Valve B Test
1. Connect the HDS to the DLC (A).





2. Choose Shift Solenoid B in Miscellaneous Test Menu on the HDS.
3. Check that the shift solenoid valve B operates with the HDS. A clicking sound should be heard.
^ If a clicking sound is heard, the valve is OK.
^ If no clicking sound is heard, go to step 4.

4. Remove the intake air duct and air cleaner housing.
5. Disconnect shift solenoid valve B connector.





6. Measure shift solenoid valve B resistance at the solenoid valve connector terminals.
Standard: 12 - 25 ohms
^ Replace shift solenoid valve B if the resistance is out of standard.
^ If the resistance is within the standard, go to step 7.

7. Connect the battery negative terminal to shift solenoid valve B connector terminal No. 1, and connect the battery positive terminal to the terminal No. 2. A clicking sound should be heard.
8. Replace shift solenoid valve B if no clicking sound is heard.
9. Install the air cleaner housing and intake air duct.
