NOTE:
- Take care not to tear the seams or damage the seat covers.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components.
- The left seat cushion is shown; the right seat cushion is similar.
1. Remove the rear seat assembly.
2. Remove the seat cushion.
3. Remove these items:
- Recline outer cover
- Rear seat cushion under-cover trim
- Rear seat cushion under-cover
4. Using a trim tool, release the hooks (A), and pull out the handle cover (B) to release the hooks (C), then remove the cover from the rear seat cushion handle (D).
5. Release the fastener (A), then pull back the seat cushion cover (B). Disconnect the handle cable (C).
6. Remove the screws, and release the hooks (A), then remove the handle (B) from the cushion frame (C) by pulling out the cable (D) through the hole in the cushion frame.
7. Disconnect the handle cable (A) from the handle (B).
8. Install the handle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the handle cable is connected securely.
- Check the seat cushion tip-up operation.
