REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear seat back.
^ Refer to page 20-115 of the 2006 Ridgeline Service Manual, or
^ Online, enter keyword REAR SEAT, and select Rear Seat Removal/Installation from the list.
NOTE:
Put on gloves to protect your hands, and take care not to bend or scratch the trim or panels.
2. Remove the rear trim panel.
^ Remove the clips.
^ Detach the hooks from the C-pillar trim on both sides.
^ Use the appropriate KTC trim tool to lift the panel and release the clips.
^ Pull out the rear center seat belt through the slit in the panel.
3. Remove the middle rear window glass mounting bolts. Remove the window mounting bracket if it has detached from the window.
4. Remove the regulator sliding rail.
^ Remove the three clips from the rear panel insulator.
^ Carefully pry open the insulator wide enough to pry out the two cable clips.
^ Remove the two bolts securing the sliding rail and carefully place it out of the way so you have space to remove the middle rear window.
5. Open the middle glass by hand.
6. Insert a pick tool into the glass channel, and pull down the end of the spacer (the edge of the spacer is located where the sliding window closes). Then slide out the spacer.
7. Slide the glass to the middle, then lift it up and out of the lower channel.
8. To remove it from the upper channel, position the window as shown, and, using your thumb, push up on the rubber frame while pulling the glass out.
9. Reverse the procedure in step 8 to install the new glass. Use your thumb to push up on the rubber frame and push the glass in.
10. Slide the window to the fully open position.
11. Insert the spacer. Make sure the plastic tab on the spacer is facing the right direction, and lined up with the slot in the channel.
12. Push up on the spacer to make sure it's seated.
13. Slide the glass closed to make sure it slides smoothly and doesn't bind.
NOTE:
You may have to apply effort to close the glass. This is normal.
14. Install all the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
15. Test the window operation with the switch.
