Audio-HVAC Subdisplay Unit Does Not Work Properly
Audio-HVAC subdisplay does not work properlyNOTE:
- Make sure the navigation unit has a white DVD installed.
- Check and repair all CAN DTCs before doing this troubleshooting.
- Check for loose or poor terminals.
1. Check the clock in the setup menu. Reset if necessary and recheck.
Does the clock reset?
YES - The system is OK at this time.
NO - Go to step 2.
2. Disconnect the display unit connector A (10P) and audio-HVAC subdisplay unit 10P connector.
3. Check for an open or short to body ground between audio-HVAC subdisplay unit 10P connector terminal No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7 and display unit connector A (10P) terminal No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7.
Are the circuits OK?
YES - Substitute a known-good audio-HVAC subdisplay unit and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-HVAC subdisplay unit. If symptom/indication is still present, replace the display unit.
NO - Replace the attached shielded harness.
