1. Go into the Diagnostic Menu and use the "Car Status" test to check for a vehicle speed pulse (VSP).

Is there a VSP signal when the vehicle is moving?

YES - Check the CAN system for DTCs. If OK, replace the navigation unit.

NO - Check the VSP wire for an open circuit or a short to power or ground. If OK, substitute a known-good navigation unit and recheck. If there is still no VSP signal, replace the ECM/PCM.
