DTC B2032: Left Power Slide Motor Pulse (SLSE2) Signal ErrorNOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
2. Turn the power sliding door main switch OFF and close the left power sliding door.
3. Turn the power sliding door main switch ON.
4. Open the left power sliding door with the left power sliding door switch.
5. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B2031 and/or B2032 indicated?
YES - Go to step 7.
NO - Intermittent failure, the power sliding door system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the left power sliding door control unit connector, and at the left power slide motor connectors.
7. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is only DTC B2032 indicated?
YES - Go to step 18.
NO - Go to step 8.
8. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
9. Disconnect the 22P connector from the left power sliding door control unit.
10. Disconnect the 6P connector from the left power slide motor assembly.
11. Check for continuity between the left power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 8 terminal and left power slide motor connector B (6P) No. 5 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 12.
NO - Repair an open in the wire.
12. Check for continuity between the left power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 8 terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES - Repair a short in the wire.
NO - Go to step 13.
13. Reconnect the 22P connector to the left power sliding door control unit.
14. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
15. Measure voltage between the left power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 8 (+) and No. 20 (-) terminals.
Is there about 5 V?
YES - Go to step 16.
NO - Replace the left power sliding door control unit.
16. Reconnect the 6P connector to the left power slide motor assembly.
17. While sliding the door slowly, measure voltage between the left power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 8 (+) and No. 20 (-) terminals.
Does it alternate between about 0 V and 5 V?
NOTE: Digital voltmeter will read about 2.5 V.
YES - Replace the left power sliding door control unit.
NO - Replace the left power slide motor assembly.
18. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
19. Disconnect the 22P connector from the left power sliding door control unit.
20. Disconnect the 6P connector from the left power slide motor assembly.
21. Check for continuity between the left power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 13 terminal and left power slide motor connector B (6P) No. 3 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 22.
NO - Repair an open in the wire.
22. Check for continuity between the left power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 20 terminal and left power slide motor connector B (6P) No. 6 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 23.
NO - Repair an open in the wire.
23. Reconnect the 22P connector to the left power sliding door control unit.
24. Reconnect the 6P connector to the left power slide motor.
25. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
26. Measure voltage between the left power slide motor connector B (6P) No. 3 (+) and No. 6 (-) terminals.
Is there about battery voltage?
YES - Replace the left power slide motor assembly.
NO - Check the RED (VREF) wire for a short to ground. If the wire is OK, replace the left power sliding door control unit.
