NO - Go to step 13.

13. Reconnect the 22P connector to the right power sliding door control unit.
14. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

15. Measure voltage between the right power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 16 (+) and No. 20 (-) terminals.

Is there about 5 V?

YES - Go to step 16.

NO - Replace the right power sliding door control unit.

16. Reconnect the 6P connector to the right power slide motor assembly.

17. While sliding the door slowly, measure the voltage between the right power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 16 (+) and No. 20 (-) terminals.

Does it alternate between about 0 V or 5 V?

NOTE: Digital voltmeter will read about 2.5 V.

YES - Replace the right power sliding door control unit.

NO - Replace the right power slide motor assembly.

18. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
19. Disconnect the 22P connector from the right power sliding door control unit.
20. Disconnect the 6P connector from the right power slide motor assembly.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 22.

NO - Repair an open in the wire.

22. Check for continuity between the right power sliding door control unit connector A (22P) No. 20 terminal and right power slide motor connector B (6P) No. 6 terminal.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 23.

NO - Repair an open in the wire.

23. Reconnect the 22P connector to the right power sliding door control unit.
24. Reconnect the 6P connector to the right power slide motor.
25. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

26. Measure voltage between the right power slide motor assembly connector B (6P) No. 3 (+) and No. 6 (-) terminals.

Is there about battery voltage?

YES - Replace the right power slide motor assembly.

NO - Check RED (VREF) wire for a short to ground. If the wire is OK, replace the right power sliding door control unit.
