Navigation unit will not eject or accept the navigation DVD

1. Check the No. 7 (7.5 A) and No. 32 (10 A) fuses in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.

Are the fuses OK?

YES - Go to step 2.

NO - Replace the fuse(s) and recheck.

2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
3. Eject the DVD from the navigation unit.

Does the navigation DVD eject?

YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Go to step 5.

4. Reinsert the navigation DVD.

Dose the navigation unit accept the DVD?

YES - No problems at this time. Inspect for loose or poor connections at navigation unit connector C (8P).

NO - Replace the navigation unit.




5. Measure the voltage between navigation unit connector C (8P) terminals No. 4 and body ground.

Is there more than 0.2 V?

YES - Repair open or high resistance in the wire between navigation unit connector C (8P) terminal No. 4 and body ground (G504).

NO - Go to step 6.




6. Measure the voltage between navigation unit connector C (8P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?

YES - Go to step 7.

NO - Repair open in the wire between navigation unit connector C (8P) terminal No. 1 and No. 7 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.




7. Measure the voltage between navigation unit connector C (8P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?

YES - Replace the navigation unit.

NO - Repair open in the wire between navigation unit connector C (8P) terminal No. 2 and No. 32 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
