REPAIR PROCEDURE
NOTE:
The Odyssey seat is shown; the Ridgeline is similar.
1. Adjust the front and rear of the seat to its highest position.
2. Odyssey only: Remove the seat track rear riser cover, the front riser covers, and the four seat mounting bolts. Leave all electrical connectors connected.
3. Odyssey only: Lift and tilt up the front of the seat bottom cushion by hand. Use the switch to adjust the seat cushion back as far as it will go. It will move only a couple of inches.
4. Remove the slide joint cable by unscrewing the collar and pulling the cable out.
5. On the motor side of the seat, measure the distance from the end of the seat track to the end of the motor. Adjust the slave side to the same distance by turning the nut either clockwise or counterclockwise.
6. Install a new slide joint cable in the reverse order of removal.
7. Odyssey only: Install the seat mounting bolts and torque them to 47 N.m (35 lb-ft).
8. Make sure the seat moves smoothly through its full range of motion.
9. Odyssey only: Reinstall the front and rear riser covers.
