Engagement Delay After Shifting From P or R
(Supersedes 07-063, October 3, 2007, to update the information marked by asterisks).
SYMPTOM
The engagement of 1st gear is delayed slightly after shifting through N to D.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The PCM shift logic has changed, decreasing the engagement time of 1st gear.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Update the PCM transmission software with the HDS.
SOFTWARE INFORMATION
HDS Software Version: 2.011.010 or later.
NOTE:
If you use the incorrect HDS software version, the HDS may indicate that the vehicle does not need an update.
The updated PCM software program ID and P/N are shown below. If this, or a later program ID, is the Current Program ID displayed during the update, the software for this service bulletin is already installed.
