Rear Entertainment System DVD Does Not Load, Play, or Eject
SYMPTOM
The rear entertainment system DVD player unit does not load, play, or eject a DVD.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The DVD player unit's main microprocessor needs a software update.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the DVD player unit with a remanufactured unit.
PARTS INFORMATION
Refer to Service Bulletin 06-001, Audio, Navigation, and RES Unit In- Warranty Exchange, and Audio and DVD Player Out-of-Warranty Repair, to order a replacement unit.

Out of warranty:
Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.
DIAGNOSIS
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio and navigation system (if equipped), then write down the audio presets.
2. Remove the DVD player unit +B fuse, then wait 15 minutes.
^ Odyssey: Fuse 5 (10 A) in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
^ Pilot: Fuse 48 (20 A) in the under-hood fuse/relay box
3. Reinstall the fuse.
^ If the DVD player unit operates normally, go to the REPAIR PROCEDURE.
^ If the DVD player unit does not operate normally, continue with normal troubleshooting.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Replace the DVD player unit:
^ Refer to the Body Electrical section of the appropriate service manual, or
^ Online, enter keywords DVD PLAYER, then select DVD Player Unit Removal/Installation (With Rear Entertainment System) from the list.
