Audio System - Intermittent Pop From the Subwoofer

Intermittent Pop From the Audio System

SYMPTOM

When you turn the ignition switch to ON (II), you may intermittently hear a pop from the subwoofer.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The power IC (integrated circuit) mute software in the audio unit has incorrect timing.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the audio unit with a remanufactured unit.

PARTS INFORMATION

Refer to Service Bulletin 06-001, Audio, Navigation, and RES Unit In- Warranty Exchange, and Audio and DVD Player Out-of-Warranty Repair, to order a replacement audio unit.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Replace the audio unit:

^ Refer to page 22-372 of the 2006-2008 Pilot Service Manual, or

^ Online, enter keywords AUDIO UNIT REM, and select the appropriate procedure from the list.

- With navigation: Audio Unit Removal / Installation (With Navigation)

- With RES: Audio Unit Removal/Installation (With Rear Entertainment System)

- Without navigation: Audio Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation, except LX model)
