Power Sliding Door Buzzes While Opening and Closing

SYMPTOM

The power sliding door buzzes while it is opening or closing.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The actuator assembly is faulty.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the actuator assembly.

Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Open the affected sliding door with the remote transmitter, the dash switch, or the inner or outer handle.

^ If you hear a buzzing noise, go to step 2.

^ If you do not hear a buzzing noise, disregard this service bulletin. Continue with normal troubleshooting.

2. Remove the sliding door panel.

^ Refer to page 20-19 of the 2008 Odyssey Service Manual, or

^ Online, enter keywords DOOR PANEL, and select Sliding Door Panel Removal/Installation from the list.





3. Disconnect the return spring from the frame and the actuator lever.
