Unable to select CD changer

NOTE: Check the vehicle battery condition first.

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

Does the XM radio work?

YES - Substitute a known-good CD changer, then reconnect all connectors and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original CD changer.

NO - If the vehicle has a navigation system, go to system troubleshooting in the navigation system. If the vehicle does not have a navigation system, substitute a known-good CD changer. If the XM radio still does not work, substitute a known-good XM receiver.
