Thermostat: Service and Repair
Thermostat Replacement1. Remove the breather pipe, then remove the air intake duct.
2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. Remove the ground cable and thermostat cover, then remove the thermostat.
4. Install the thermostat with a new rubber seal.
5. Refill the radiator with engine coolant, then bleed air from the cooling system.
6. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
