Damper/Spring Removal and Installation

Removal
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Remove the lower arm B.
4. Remove the three flange bolts (A) from the top of the damper, then remove the damper assembly (B).





Installation
1. Install the damper assembly (A) onto the flange, then loosely install the new flange bolts (B).





2. Install the lower arm B.
3. Raise the rear suspension with a floor jack to load the vehicle weight.





4. Tighten all mounting hardware to the specified torque values.
5. Clean the mating surface of the brake disc/drum and the inside of the wheel, then install the rear wheel.
6. Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary.
