SRS DTC Troubleshooting: 46-2x, 46-3x, 46-8x, 46-9x, 46-Ax, 46-Bx (x can be 0 thru 9 or A thru F)

DTC 46-2x, 46-3x, 46-8x, 46-9x, 46-Ax, 46-Bx ("x" can be 0 thru 9 or A thru F): Internal Failure of the Right Side Impact Sensor (second)

NOTE: Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review SRS Precautions and Procedures Technician Safety Information and General Troubleshooting Information. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Clear the DTC memory. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10 seconds.

3. Read the DTC. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Is DTC 46-2x, 46-3x, 46-8x, 46-9x, 46-Ax, or 46-Bx indicated?
YES - Faulty right side impact sensor (second); replace the right side impact sensor (second) for 4-door, Side Impact Sensor (Second) Replacement (4-Door) for 2-door. Side Impact Sensor (Second) Replacement (2-Door)

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.
