Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2607

DTC 2607: XM Diag

NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information. How To Troubleshoot The Navigation System (With Navigation)

1. Clear the hard error code. How To Troubleshoot The Navigation System (With Navigation)

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back ON (II).

3. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation)

4. Check the System Links screen.

Is the XM icon red?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the unit repeatedly comes back with the DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit. Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation)


5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at audio-navigation unit connector D (14P), USB adapter unit connector A (14P), and XM receiver connector A (14P).

Are the connections OK?
YES - Go to step 7.

NO - Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck the self-diagnosis mode. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation)


7. Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) and XM receiver connector A (14P).

8. Connect audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10 with a jumper wire.






9. Check for continuity between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10.

Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 10.

NO - There is an open in the wire between audio-navigation unit and the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.






10. Disconnect USB adapter unit connector A (14P) and the jumper wire connected between terminals No. 9 and No. 10.

11. Check for continuity between audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10.

Is there continuity?
YES - There is a short in the wire(s) between GN-NET (+) and (-) wire. Replace the affected shielded harness.

NO - Go to step 12.






12. Check for continuity between body ground and audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10, individually.

Is there continuity?
YES - There is a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit, the USB adapter unit, and the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.

NO - Go to step 13.






13. Reconnect the all connectors, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

14. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation)

15. Check the System Links.

Is the XM icon red?
YES - Go to step 16.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the unit repeatedly comes back with the DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit. Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation)


16. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

17. Disconnect USB adapter unit connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

18. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and Select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items Menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation)

19. Check the System Links.

Is the XM icon red?
YES - Go to step 20.

NO - Internal short circuit in the USB adapter unit.


20. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

21. Connect USB adapter unit connector A (14P).

22. Disconnect XM receiver connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

23. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and Select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items Menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation)

24. Check the System Links.

Is the XM icon red?
YES - Replace the audio-navigation unit. Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation)

NO - Replace the XM receiver. XM Receiver Replacement (With XM Radio)
