Radiator: Service and Repair




Radiator and Fan Replacement

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure. Procedures

2. Drain the engine coolant. Service and Repair

3. Remove the front grille cover.






4. Disconnect the fan motor connectors (A), the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 2 connector (B), and the A/C compressor clutch connector (C), then remove the harness clamps (D).






5. Remove the upper brackets and cushions (A), then remove the bulkhead (B).






6. A/T model: Disconnect the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses. Service and Repair

7. Disconnect the upper radiator hose and the lower radiator hose from the radiator, then pull up the radiator.

8. Remove the fan shroud assemblies and other parts from the radiator.

9. Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.

10. Install the bulkhead in the reverse order of removal. Apply touch-up paint to the bulkhead mounting bolts.

11. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. Procedures

12. Fill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system with the heater valve open. Service and Repair

13. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
