Shift lever cannot be moved from P while pressing on the brake pedal

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. Shift lock solenoid defective

2. Shift lock solenoid control circuit

3. Shift lock mechanism defective

4. Brake pedal position switch circuit

5. Brake pedal position switch defective

6. Accelerator pedal position sensor circuit

7. Accelerator pedal position sensor defective

8. Throttle body defective

9. Transmission range switch ATPP switch stuck OFF

10. Transmission range switch ATPP switch line opened

Also check for:

- Troubleshoot the shift lock system circuit. Interlock System - Shift Lock System Circuit Troubleshooting
- Test the shift lock solenoid. A/T Shift Lock Solenoid Test
- Inspect the transmission range switch. Transmission Range Switch Test (A/T)
