Front Impact Sensor Replacement

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, Procedures then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front inner fender.

3. Remove the washer reservoir for the right side sensor. Service and Repair

4. Disconnect the engine compartment wire harness 2P connector (A) from the front impact sensor (B), then remove the TORX bolts (C) from the bracket (D).






5. Remove the TORX bolts (A), then remove the front impact sensor (B) from the bracket (C).






Installation

1. Install the front impact sensor (A) with new TORX bolts (B) to the bracket (C).






2. Install the bracket (A) with new TORX bolts (B), then connect the engine compartment wire harness 2P connector (C) to the front impact sensor (D).

3. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. Procedures

4. Clear any DTCs. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

5. After installing the front impact sensor, confirm proper system operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.

6. Reinstall all removed parts.
