Product Update: Accessory Cargo Liner Covers the Center Head Restraint

BACKGROUND

When an accessory cargo liner (P/N 08P42-SZA-100, H/C 8990327) is installed, its front panel fits over the top of the second row seats, and the outboard head restraints are installed over it. Due to a design error, an installed cargo liner covers the center head restraint, preventing the center head restraint from being used. This problem affects about 500 cargo liners supplied to dealers. Most of these cargo liners have already been sold to customers.

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION

All 2009 Pilot owners who purchased the above mentioned cargo liner need to be called by the selling dealer. (To find the customers who purchased this cargo liner, use your parts sales records.) When calling the customer, tell them that an improved cargo liner is available, and that you will exchange the original liner with a new one at no cost. In addition, if requested by the customer, install the new cargo liner.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Remove the old cargo liner, and exchange it with a new one (P/N 08P42-SZA-101, H/C 9157009). If requested by the customer, install the new cargo liner.

NOTE:
A cargo liner can be identified by the part number sewn into its seam.
