Symptom Troubleshooting: Display can be opened and/or closed even when a CD is being inserted or ejected

Display can be opened and/or closed even when a CD is being inserted or ejected

1. Go into the Diagnostic Menu and use the Navi System Link test Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (With Navigation) to check the connection between the navigation display unit and the audio disc changer.

Is the 6 CD icon red?
YES - Go to step 2.

NO - Go to step 3.


2. Check to see if the navigation display unit connector B (10P) and the audio disc changer connector A (18P) are connected securely.

Are the connectors connected securely?
YES - Check open in the wire between the navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and the audio disc changer connector A (18P) terminal No. 4. If open, repair the wire.

NO - Reconnect the connectors.


3. Substitute a known-good navigation display unit, and check to see if the display and the audio disc changer work normally.

Do the display and the audio disc changer work normally?
YES - Replace the navigation display unit. Service and Repair

NO - Replace the audio disc changer. Service and Repair
