Rear Seat Cushion Handle Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear the seams or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- The left seat cushion is shown; the right seat cushion is similar.
1. Remove the rear seat assembly. Rear Seat Removal/Installation
2. Remove the seat cushion. Overhaul
3. Remove these items:
- Recline outer cover Overhaul
- Rear seat cushion under-cover trim Overhaul
- Rear seat cushion under-cover Overhaul
4. Release the hooks (A) with the appropriate trim tool, and pull out the handle cover (B) to release the hooks (C), then remove the cover from the rear seat cushion handle (D).
5. Release the Velcro fastener (A), then pull back the seat cushion cover (B). Disconnect the handle cable (C).
6. Remove the screws, and release the hooks (A), then remove the handle (B) from the cushion frame (C) by pulling out the cable (D) through the hole in the cushion frame.
7. Disconnect the handle cable (A) from the handle (B).
8. Install the handle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the handle cable is connected securely.
- Check the seat cushion tip-up operation.
