Rear Seat Cushion Pivot Cable Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

- Take care not to tear the seams or damage the seat covers.

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

- The left seat cushion is shown; the right seat cushion is similar.

1. Remove the rear seat assembly. Rear Seat Removal/Installation

2. Remove the seat cushion. Overhaul

3. Remove these items:
- Recline outer cover Overhaul

- Rear seat cushion under-cover trim Overhaul

- Rear seat cushion under-cover Overhaul

4. Release the hooks (A), and pull back the seat cushion cover (B).






5. Release the tabs (A) and the clip, then remove the pivot outer cover (B) and the pivot inner cover (C).






6. Remove the rear seat cushion pivot cable (A).
-1 Remove the lock washer (B), then disconnect the cable, and detach the cable clip (C).
-2 Remove the screws, then remove the cable joint (D).
-3 Remove the nut, then remove the cable guide (E) and the inner mounting bracket (F), and disconnect the cable from the cable guide.

7. Install the pivot cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the pivot cable is connected securely.

- Replace the lock washer with new one.
