Cowl Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair




Cowl Cover Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the cowl cover or the body.

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the windshield wiper arms. Service and Repair

2. Detach the clips (A) with the appropriate trim tool, then remove the hood rear seal (B) from the passenger's cowl cover (C). Disconnect the windshield washer tube (D), and remove the clips (E).






3. Detach the clips by carefully pulling the passenger's cowl cover (A) upward, and release the hook (B) on the passenger's cowl cover from the driver's cowl cover (C). Pull the cover forward to release the hook (D), and pull the hinge cover (E) out from the front fender (F) and windshield molding (G).

4. Disconnect the washer tube (H), then remove the passenger's cowl cover.






5. Remove the clips (A). Detach the clips (B) and hooks (C) by carefully pulling the driver's cowl cover (D) upward. Pull the cover forward to release the hooks (E), and pull the hinge cover (F) out from the front fender (G) and windshield molding (H).

6. If necessary, detach the clips (I), with the appropriate trim tool, then remove the hood rear seal (J) from the driver's cowl cover.

7. Install the covers in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

- Push the clips into place securely.

- Make sure the washer tubes are connected securely.
