Warm Up TWC Removal/Installation

FRONT

1. Remove the engine cover.

2. Remove the radiator fan and the A/C condenser fan assemblies. Service and Repair

3. Remove the No. 2 ignition coil and the ignition coil heat insulator.

4. Remove the front A/F sensor (Sensor 1) A/F Sensor Replacement and the front secondary HO2S (Sensor 2). Secondary HO2S Replacement

5. Remove the exhaust pipe A mounting nuts (front WU-TWC side). Service and Repair

6. Remove the EGR pipe. Service and Repair

7. Remove the bracket (A), then carefully remove the front WU-TWC (B).

8. Carefully install the front WU-TWC with a new gasket and new self-locking nuts. Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.

9. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.






REAR

1. Remove exhaust pipe A. Service and Repair

2. Remove the intermediate shaft. Intermediate Shaft Removal

3. Remove the rear A/F sensor (Sensor 1) A/F Sensor Replacement and the rear secondary HO2S (Sensor 2). Secondary HO2S Replacement

4. Remove the rear WU-TWC bracket, then remove the rear WU-TWC (A).

5. Install the rear WU-TWC, and tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.

6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
