Power Windows System Description

Anti-pinch Operation

The system is composed of the power window master switch and the driver's power window motor.

The driver's power window motor incorporates a Hall IC unit which generates pulses during the motor's operation and sends the pulses to the driver's power window control unit. As soon as the power window control unit detects a change in the pulses frequency from the Hall IC unit, the driver's power window control unit makes the power window motor stop and reverse. This is prevent pinching your hand of fingers during auto-up operation.






Key Cylinder Operation

With the key inserted in the driver's door key cylinder, turn the key it a second time within 15 seconds and hold it to operate the windows (clockwise to open, counterclockwise to close). The windows stop moving when the key is released. The anti-pinch operation is not active when closing the windows with the key cylinder. The key cylinder switch operation is not active until the key is removed from the ignition and the driver's door is opened. Opening the driver's cancels the key off timer.

Keyless Operation

By pressing and holding the UNLOCK button of the keyless transmitter a second time within 15 seconds, the windows open. The windows stop moving when the UNLOCK button is released. The windows do not close with the LOCK button. The keyless window operation with the remotes will not work until the key has been removed from the ignition, and the driver's door has been opened. This cancels the key off timer.
