Do the ODS unit initialization Programming and Relearning after front passenger's seat replacement.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.
2. Adjust the steering column to the full tilt up position, and to the full telescopic in position. Adjust the seat-back recline to a middle position.
3. Slide the front seat all the way forward fully. Carefully pry up on the bottom edge of the anchor cover (A) with the appropriate trim tool release the hooks (B) and the tab (C), then remove the cover by pulling it upward.
4. Remove the lower anchor bolt (A).
5. Remove the seat track end covers (A) from the back of both seat tracks.
6. Remove the seat mounting bolts from the rear side of the front seat.
7. Slide the front seat all the way back, and remove the seat mounting bolts.
8. Lift up the front seat, then disconnect the connectors.
1. Disconnect the harness clips (A), and disconnect the side airbag connector (B), the seat belt buckle switch connector (C), and the seat belt buckle tensioner connector (D).
2. Driver's seat: Disconnect the seat heater subharness connector (E) (if equipped) and the seat position sensor connector.
3. Passenger's seat: Disconnect the seat heater subharness connector (F) (if equipped) and the ODS unit subharness connector.

9. With the help of an assistant, carefully remove the front seat through the front door opening.
10. Install the front seat in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the seat mounting bolts before reinstallation.
- Tighten the bolts by hand first, then tighten them to specified torque with a torque wrench.
- Tighten the seat mounting bolts to the specified torque in the sequence shown. Slide the seat all the way back and tighten (1) and (2), then slide it forward and tighten (3) and (4).
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures. If the IMA battery level gauge (BAT) displays no segments, start the engine, and hold it between 3,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm without load (in P or N) until the BAT displays at least three segments.
- Check for any DTCs that may have been set during repairs, and clear them.
