Navigation frequently asks for anti-theft code and/or needs GPS initialization
NOTE:
* Check the vehicle battery condition first Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
* Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
* Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
1. Problem verification:
-1. Check if the Anti-Theft System screen or the CSF (GPS Initialization) screen is displayed every time the ignition switch is turned to ON (II).
Is Anti-Theft System screen or CSF screen displayed every time?
-YES- The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
2. Open wire check (GND line):
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Is there less than 0.2 V?
-YES- The GND wires are OK. Go to step 3.
-NO- Repair an open or high resistance in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and body ground (G502) and/or body ground (G503).
3. DTC check:
-1. Check for hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
Are there any navigation DTCs indicated?
-YES- Go to indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
-NO- Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation.
