Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Inner Vent - Both Sides





1. Carefully pry out the inner vents (A) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (B), then remove the inner vents.

2. Audio-Navigation Unit Assembly

NOTE:
* Eject the discs before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
* If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
* If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, Map Matching must be done.
* Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
* Do not work in a dusty or dirty place.
* Discharge static electricity from your body before and during the work.
* Do not touch the circuit board(s) with your bare hands.
* Do not work with dirty hands.
* Do not touch the terminal connector of the flat plate cable with your bare hands (If you have touched it, wipe it off thoroughly.).

1. Remove the bolts.

2. Disconnect the connectors, then pull out the audio-navigation unit (A).

3. Hazard Warning Switch





1. Remove the hazard warning switch (A).

4. FM Distributor Assembly





1. Disconnect the connectors.

2. Remove the FM distributer assembly (A).

5. Audio-Navigation Unit





1. Remove the brackets (A) from the audio-navigation unit (B).

NOTE: If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, transfer the SD module to the audio-navigation unit.

Installation

1. Audio-Navigation Unit





1. Install the brackets (A) on the audio-navigation unit (B).

2. Install the audio-navigation unit.

NOTE:
* If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, remove the SD module.
* Check any official Honda service website for more service information about patches for the navigation system. Apply any prescribed patches to the new audio-navigation unit.

3. Park the vehicle outside, and do the GPS initialization.

2. FM Distributor Assembly





1. Install the FM distributer assembly (A).

2. Connect the connectors.

3. Hazard Warning Switch





1. Install the hazard warning switch (A).

4. Audio-Navigation Unit Assembly

KX





1. Connect the connectors, then install the audio-navigation unit (A).

NOTE: Make sure all the connectors and the antenna lead are secure.

2. Install the bolts (B).

5. Inner Vent - Both Sides





1. Install the inner vents (A). Make sure the clips (B) snap into place securely.
