Audio-navigation unit power switch will not turn on (No audio information display and no sound)

NOTE:
* Check the vehicle battery condition first Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
* Check if the Day/Night button was pressed and turned off the display. See the Navigation Manual for more information.
* Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Determine possible failure area (navigation system, others):

-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

-2. Check if the audio-navigation unit displays the Honda globe screen.

Is the Honda globe screen displayed?
-YES- Go to step 2.
-NO- Go to No picture is displayed troubleshooting No Picture Is Displayed.

2. Problem verification:

-1. Press the VOLUME/POWER knob on to see if audio system turns on.

Does the audio system operate properly, and does the audio sound normal?
-YES- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
-NO- The failure is duplicated, go to step 3.

3. Open wire check (GND line):

-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.


















Is there less than 0.2 V?
-YES- Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation.
-NO- Repair an open or high resistance in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and body ground (G502) and/or body ground (G503).
