Tailgate Weatherstrip Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Tailgate Weatherstrip





1. Remove the tailgate weatherstrip (A) from the tailgate opening.

Installation

1. Tailgate Weatherstrip





1. Locate the alignment mark (A) of the tailgate weatherstrip (B). Align the alignment mark with the center of the lower area on the tailgate opening, then install the tailgate weatherstrip all the way around.

2. Water Leak Test




Check for water leaks. Run water over the roof and on the sealing area as shown, and note these items:
* Use a 12 mm (0.47 in) diameter hose (A).
* Adjust the rate of water flow as shown.
* Do not use a nozzle.
* Hold the hose about 300 mm (12 in) away from the door.
