Moonroof Sunshade Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Moonroof Link Cover - Both Sides





NOTE: Repeat on the opposite side.

1. Carefully pry out the cover (A), then remove the screw (B).

2. Remove the moonroof link cover (C).

2. Moonroof Glass





1. Remove the TORX screws (A) with a TORX T25 bit from the glass brackets (B) on both sides.





2. Remove the moonroof glass (A) by lifting it up. Do not damage the roof panel.

3. Drain Channel





1. On both sides, slide the glass brackets (A) with the moonroof switch to the position where the moonroof normally tilts up.

2. Disconnect the drain channel rods (B).





3. Slide the drain channel (A) forward.





4. Pull up the rear edge of the drain channel (A) while pushing both clips (B), and release the channel from both hooks (C) of the drain channel slider by pulling it rearward.

5. Remove the drain channel.

4. Moonroof Sunshade





1. Slide the sunshade (A) until you can see both sunshade slider spacers (B).

2. Remove the screws (C), then remove both sunshade slider spacers.





3. While lifting the front portion of the sunshade (A), move the sunshade forward until you can see both sunshade rear hooks (B). Do not damage the sunshade or the hooks.

4. Remove the screws (C), then remove both hooks.





5. Remove the sunshade (A).





6. Remove both front sunshade base sliders (A) and both rear sunshade base sliders (B).

5. Sunshade Handle





1. If necessary, remove the screws (A), then remove the sunshade handle (B).

Installation

1. Sunshade Handle





1. Install the sunshade handle (A), then install the screws (B).

2. Moonroof Sunshade





1. Install both front moonroof sunshade base sliders (A) and both rear moonroof sunshade base sliders (B).





2. Install the moonroof sunshade (A).





3. Install both moonroof sunshade rear hooks (A), then install the screws (B).





4. Install both moonroof sunshade slider spacers (A), then install the screws (B).

3. Drain Channel





1. Install the drain channel (A).





2. Slide the drain channel (A) rearward.





3. Connect the drain channel rods (A).

4. Tilt down the glass bracket (B).

4. Moonroof Glass





1. Install the moonroof glass (A).





2. Install the TORX screws (A).

3. Repeat on the opposite side.

5. Moonroof Glass - Position Check




The roof panel (A) should be even with the glass weatherstrip (B), to within 0+1/-1 mm (0+0.04/-0.04 in) all the way around.

6. Moonroof Glass - Position Adjustment





1. Slightly loosen the TORX screws with a TORX T25 bit.

2. Move the glass (A) up or down and forward or rearward.

3. Tighten all screws securely.

4. If necessary, repeat on the opposite side.

7. Moonroof Link Cover - Both Sides





NOTE: Repeat on the opposite side

1. Install the moonroof link cover (A), then install the screw (B).

2. Install the cover (C).

8. Moon Roof Control Unit - Reset

1. Do the moon roof control unit resetting procedure Testing and Inspection.
