Power Lumbar Support Switch Removal, Installation, and Test

Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

NOTE: Before the front power seat is removed, slide the front power seat to the half-way position, then raise the seat to the highest position.

1. Front Cover





1. Remove the screw (A), and release the hook (B), the pin (C), and the tabs (D), then remove the front cover (E).

2. Front Seat Recline Cover





1. Remove the screw (A), and detach the clip (B).

2. Release the tabs (C).

3. Pull up the recline cover (D) to release the hook (E).

4. Disconnect the connectors.

5. Remove the upper center inner cover (F).

6. Remove the wire harness (G) from the hooks (H), then remove the recline cover.

3. Power Lumbar Support Switch





1. Remove the power lumbar support switch cover (A).

2. Remove the power lumbar support switch (B) from the recline cover (C).

Test

1. Power Lumbar Support Switch - Test









1. Reinstall the power lumbar support switch cover (A) to the power lumbar support switch (B).

2. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

3. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

Installation

1. Power Lumbar Support Switch





1. Install the power lumbar support switch (A) to the recline cover (B).

2. Install the power lumbar support switch cover (C).

2. Front Seat Recline Cover





1. Install the upper center inner cover (A) to the recline cover (B).

2. Connect the connector, then install the wire harness (C) to the hooks (D).

3. Install the clip (E) and tabs (F), then install the recline cover.

4. Install the tabs (G), then install the screw (H).

3. Front Cover





1. Install the tabs (A), set the pin (B), and install the hook (C), then install the front cover (D). Make sure the hooks snap into place securely.
